With Smith-Blair ® 357 Flexi-Coat ® Epoxy Coated
Service Saddles, it isn’t necessary to decide exactly
where branch lines are needed when you are planning
distribution lines or doing the initial installation of a
pipeline. You can install long runs of pipe without the
complexities of cutting and fitting and then go back later
and easily install corrosion protected branch lines exactly
where you need them.
The 357 Saddles’ contoured, epoxy coated, tough
ductile iron body and 2” wide 304 Stainless Steel Straps
completely encompass the pipe, reinforcing and
supporting it at each outlet.
Each saddle is geometrically shaped to provide
uniform gasket pressure on the pipe. The Smith-Blair ®
Nitrile (Buna N) pressure energized concave wedge
gasket provides an efficient seal with no rolling or binding
on installation.
Taps can be made dry or under pressure. On empty
lines, the proper size hole can be cut first and the saddle
installed later. On pressurized lines, with the proper
tapping equipment, the saddle must be installed first and
the hole tapped second.
Why not install your next pipeline the smart way?
Protect it from corrosion before it eats away your tight fit.
