Compact Erbium-Doped Pulse Amplifier, +30 dBm, 1550 nm

The Optilab EPA-1550-C Erbium-Doped Pulse Amplifier is designed to amplify pulses up to 1 W average power and 1 kW peak power for high power applications. The EPA-1550-C has two stages of amplification based on multi-mode pumping technology using Er/Yb double clad fiber technology and SM fiber output. Using an external seed laser oscillator as a pulse generation source, the optical pulse amplifier is carefully designed to limit the back reflection through the use of high power, single polarity passing isolators between amplifier stages.

The EPA-1550-PM has two stages of amplification based on multi-mode pumping technology using Er/Yb double clad fiber technology, and PM fiber output. Using an external programmable laser as a pulse generation source, the pulse amplifier is carefully designed to limit the back reflection through the use of high power, single polarity passing isolators between amplifier stages, while the armored fiber output port provides a collimated optical pulse.
